Anyone a fan of the Ripper Owens Era?

I was just getting into Judas Priest during the time when Tim Owens was the lead singer and I never bothered picking up those albums at the time because Halford wasn’t the singer. I’ve finally decided to listen to them over 20 years later and I gotta say they aren’t bad.

Sure they would probably be towards the bottom half of my album rankings but they are better than let’s say Turbo, Nostradamus and Point Of Entry (I know that album has fans, I’m just not one of them)

I love Nostradamus but I also love concept albums. Some damn impressive vocals on that record.

Jugulator is a killer metal disc. I still rock that one today. Didn't care for the follow up. Don't even remember what it was called. I didn't buy that one.

I put the colorful JUGULATOR with the band's top three albums. Sure, it's (intentionally) comic booky, but it's their heaviest album with catchy songs from beginning to end.

As for the follow-up, DEMOLITION, it has a unique, machinelike vibe (compared to the rest of Priest's discography) with several worthy cuts, like "Hell Is Home," "Subterfuge," "Feed On Me," "Bloodsuckers," "Metal Messiah" and "Cyberface." I honestly never got the hate for this opus.

Lastly, Ripper did two live albums with Priest. The first one, '98 METAL MELTDOWN, is easily Priest's best live release IMHO; and one of the top live rock/metal albums of all time.
