I am 70, retired military and we had gays or queers or fags or whatever you feel you want to call yourself and had little or no problems. My experience is they are the same as the rest of the world, blacks, latins, indians, whites, italans, muslims. and they have always been there. OK I get it you were hiding it in plainview. Everyone around you knew, but if you lived in NYC Colorado State did not know or cared that you were gay. Your problem today is you want EVERYONE to KOWTOW to you because you are transgender? go back to the closet because you are NOT going to tell me I have to act to suit you.
