Admits to ending friendships because they didn't think like him

That's one of the saddest, most pathetic things a person can do. Imagine the hubris to assume you're so confident in the way you see the world, that someone who doesn't agree without is unable to be a part of your life. The fucking ego on this guy.

reply

They should feel happy. No one wants to be friends with an arrogant, ignorant, hypocritical, unfunny, talentless hack. Everything he is a part of loses quality due to his presence.

reply

Patton Oswald don't need no deplorables around anyhow.

reply

If that were true, he wouldn't spend time with other democrats.

reply

I think he's a decent actor and was quite funny in King of Queens, but he's one of those stereotypical people who looks like a weakling and uses liberal politics as a way of compensating for that.

His dad named him Patton after General Patton, one of the manliest guys in military history, but Patton is kinda the antithesis of that, thus his tired ultra leftist shtick is just a way of making up for not being able to measure up to his father's ideals of what he should look and act like.

reply

Thinking he was named after a guy who'd probably shoot him is pretty fantastic, lol. I think his career was faltering, and a lot of liberal has-beens jump on the woke bandwagon to get attention.

reply

You call him pathetic but this thread is a bunch of guys on the internet gossiping about him like little bitches. Funny.

reply

What the fuck are you talking about? Most of the time, we make friends with people because they seem to think the same as us.

You can also bond with people over other things, such as sports, music work, movies etc without politics ever coming up. There are a lot of people that I’ve known for years, and we don’t know each others views. And some that I do. You don’t have to agree with people on everything, unless you are the type of asshole that has to go around spewing your views at people. But that tends to turn people off even if you do agree with them.

reply

So what?

You don't have to be friends with people you don't agree with either.

Just because someone likes the same sports team as you doesn't make them your friend or someone you should remain friends with after you learn that they they give their support to a rapist and felon etc.

Just goes to show how fragile some folk are that they want people to be their friends while telling them "Fuck your freedom."

reply

Liking the same sports team is the same as bonding over sports. A lot of the fun is when they don’t like the same team and you trash talk each others team. We could even apply this politics. You call Trump a rapist and a felon, while supporting a guy that showered with his own, and sniffs little girls. You don’t have the moral high ground that you think you do.

No one’s freedom is actually at stake, so it would be more like saying fuck your delusions, and fuck your entitlement to my vote. It’s way more fragile to end friendships with people who don’t agree with you, than it is to try and coexist with other. Half the population thinks differently from you, that includes family, friends work/school etc. You can’t avoid it. But you can find yourself all alone in your personal life.

reply

WTF are you talking about? When did I give support to anyone? Wtf guy are you talking about? If you are talking about Biden (hasn't been sued by anyone for sexual assault, like Trump has, successfully, you do know he wasn't even running, don't you?

It's frankly fucking pathetic that you're providing excuses at all for someone who is a convicted felon, and getting upset that Patton Oswalt won't be friends with people who do the same. That is some "participation medal" bullshit. Grow a fucking pair.

Yeah the people who don't wish the successfully sued rapist with felony fraud convictions in the Whitehouse are the delusional ones.

reply

The delusional ones are those who believe what their TV has told them, and believe Trump is a "successfully sued rapist with felony fraud convictions." A sham civil case and an equally fraudulent trial, both instigated specifically to keep Trump out of the White House, are inconsequential, and serve only to allow people like you to parrot what they've been told by the government in hopes of convincing others not to vote for him. Fortunately for the rest of us, that plan didn't work any better than the made up claims of Russian collusion, the made up claims that Trump supports white supremacists, or any of the dozens upon dozens of other media-made lies.

You are more than welcome to believe what you want, and I believe in your right to speak those beliefs-- unlike Kamala Harris and the Democrats, who are openly opposed to freedom of speech-- and you are also free to choose your friends based on their beliefs. Personally, I think anyone who ends a friendship over political disagreement is immature, but you do you.

reply

Donald Trump boasts about grabbing women's pussies and kissing them without asking.

reply

Yes, there's another of the made-up things the media tried to convince people to be true in order to keep him out of office.

You and I have different world views, and we'll likely never see eye-to-eye on this. I believe that the struggle is top vs. bottom, in that it's the government + corporations + their cronies + the media vs. the rest of us. You seem to think of it as right vs. left, if I read you correctly.

Trump is in direct opposition to that top component, which is why there is such unified and vehement hatred for him from the top. They have lied, cheated, and stole, and tried every possible method to keep him out of office. Yes, he has an almost preternatural ability to muster support and win elections no matter that the top throws at him.

Trump, and the team he has assembled, stand for everything I do, and apparently, based on the recent election, what most Americans stand for. He is:

1. Anti-racist

2. Anti-fascist

3. Anti-censorship

4. Pro freedom of speech

5. Pro-choice, but with the belief that each state should decide its own laws

6. Pro-gay marriage and equal rights for gay people.

7. Opposed to Big Pharma running unchecked

8. Opposed to warehouse and factory farms and chemicals in our food

9. Of the opinion that there are two genders, male and female, and that while everyone is free to live life how they want, as long as they don't harm others, we should keep men out of women's sports and women's bathrooms and locker rooms.

10. Opposed to a bloated corrupt government officials stealing our tax dollars to enrich themselves and their cronies, or to waste on inefficient government projects, and ready to drastically reforming our broken government.

I believe Kamala Harris, and the left, are openly and inarguably opposed to nearly everything I listed, but if friends believe otherwise, I'm fine with it. I may be wrong. If I'm right, it's okay that they are wrong. We can still be friends.

reply

It’s pretty obvious why you have no friends, you are one angry person. But I’ll address your points anyway.

Yes Biden. His daughter wrote about taking showers with him in her diary, and the diary was the subject of a lawsuit, so we know it’s hers. Trump was not charged criminally for that, which means they obviously didn’t think they had enough evidence to get a conviction, so that should tell you something right there.

And yes I know Biden stepped down, he still ran against in 2020, and part of 2024, and I’m sure you didnt, and weren’t going to vote for trump over him.

It’s frankly pathetic that you guys try an use a hush money conviction to make him seem like a murder. No one really cares that he fucked a porn star 20 years, and then paid her to keep it quiet.

reply

It is notoriously difficult to get any criminal conviction for sexual assault. That's what it tells me.

The fact remains that Trump was successfully sued.

And the fact remains that Trump committed felony fraud to cover up a hush money payment masquerading as "legal expenses".

Nobody mentioned murder. Does a candidate like Trump need to be convicted of murder before you would reconsider voting for them or something? Is that your excuse? That he hasn't been convicted of killing someone? That's even more pathetic.

And your justification for this? The sex offending convicted fraudster told that the opposition are worse than he is "trust me". It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

I don't give a shit when, where or why Biden ran. I don't support him. I'm not even American. Nevertheless, as just about every other sane fucker on the planet who doesn't live in a banana republic knows well and can see, there are a lot of pathetic Americans who are bending over backwards to simp for a fucking admitted sex offender and convicted felon.

reply

-Its hard to prove when you wait 25 years to say anything. You didn't report it, you let the statute of limitations expire, and then only bring up when he is already president. The state of New York had to change the law temporarily to even allow this happen. It was politically motivated, just like all the other charges against him. I don't believe her.

-I brought up murder to show that all felonies are not equal. Murder is obviously on the far end of the spectrum, but what Trump did would be on the other end of that. The reason you guys use the term convicted felon is lump him in with much worse criminals. But people see through that. And yes I am saying that he would've had to do something more serious write legal expenses on a check to his lawyer to reconsider voting him. No one that supported him, reconsidered voting him based on that bogus felony. In fact he gained in the polls, and his donations increased after the verdict, because sane people could see that they were just weaponizing the justice system against him.

Ok, so you are just another foreign shit stirrer, that gets bent out of shape over American politics. Banana Republic indeed, We must be the center of the universe with all the attention that you give us, and to the level that you get emotionally invested.

reply

Many liberals are so arrogant and closed-minded that they just can't see the other side of issues, and can't remain friends if you don't toe the liberal line, because they feel the need to include politics / Liberal causes into every single conversation.

For example:

- Global warming will be brought up in every conversation concerning weather
- Trump bashing occurs on the regular
- Blaming the Billionaires is a common defense

reply

If one were to hang out with this guy, how much of "Spence" from King of Queens would come out??

reply

"The fucking ego on this guy."
... you're surprised a Hollywood actor has a huge ego?
