No. Nixon prosecuted the war in Vietnam. He even extended it for political gain. Trump whatever his faults is no warmonger, just the opposite it seems.
Nixon also opened up relationships with China and to a lesser extent the Soviet Union. This helped cool down the conflict in Vietnam, although it was a long process. Nixon finally bombed Hanoi day and night to get the North Vietnamese to sign a peace treaty, which led to the release of hundreds of American military POW's and turned the war back over to the corrupt S. Vietnamese govt.
I'll agree Nixon didn't end the Vietnam conflict soon enough but it seems he inherited a horrible mess created by LBJ. The whole war was a waste.
