I agree. I understand the wish to showcase a genuine legendary star but it was a difficult moment to watch. Miscalculated, entirely.

I suspect she was very happy to be given a moment at the Oscars, she's always loved performing and attention, maybe even lived for it.

I also suspect that was her last moment in public, so I hope she enjoyed every second of it.

I hope she did too but we all know how cruel people can be online. I guess she would be protected from any nasty online comments though. God bless her.

Old age and ill health aren't funny, especially not when celebrities are bitchslapping each other onstage!

I had to mute the TV and look away. Turned the volume up and Gaga was really sweet by helping her.

They did the same thing to Kirk Douglas when he couldn't even speak clearly.

I thought she was doing okay. Couldn't tell why Gaga was interrupting her so much. She was doing better than some of the other sick old folks they've wheeled out over the years.

Who thought this was a good idea? I do think though that she probably got a kick out of it, so there's that.
