Mr. Menzies you magnificent sick bastard

Just watched the Outlander season 1 finale and my i say you sir were magnificent. The most problems i have with tv shows is believability, but you make me believe everything you say or do. You deserve an emmy, your performance was as good and masterful as it was sick and graphic. Great stuff, can't wait to see your next transformation.

I agree. He played BJR mercilessly twisted nature to the hilt. Kind of hard to see the someone I absolutely adore take on such a difficult and abhorrent character. Still I admire his courage and integrity as an actor to plumb the dark places in the human psyche.
I look forward to his next project. I'm really hoping he receives an Emmy nomination for his brilliant work in Outlander.

AMAZING work by both Menzies and Heughan. Wow. That finale was unbelievably difficult to watch, but so beautifully directed and well-acted. I wholeheartedly think that Tobias Menzies and Sam Heughan should have received an Emmy nomination just based on the "To Random a Man's Soul" episode alone, though they've both proven to be highly talented actors throughout the whole series.

I will most likely be watching anything that Menzies and the rest of the Outlander cast works on in the near/far future. Magnificent, indeed!

Yes and his screen presence makes you want to watch him be a sadist.

True, Heughan was excellent. But Menzies was stunning.

His and Sam's performance make Leo diCaprio look like a amateur . The acting was incredible . I drink to that . Huh even after I almost couldn't watch the last episode

DiCrapio is SOOO over-rated. Tobias and Sam are just 2 examples of actors who are far more talented then Leo will ever be.

Is that the episode that takes place in the dungeon? I don't know the episodes by name. That episode affected me like I haven't been affected in many years. It was stellar acting by both men and really, really went into excruciating detail on the nasty and very uncomfortable to discuss (especially by men) topic of male-on-male rape. It showcased beautifully and sadly how depraved someone can truly be and how that depravity comes out and affects others. It was very, very hard to watch. I can't say enough good things about these actors and the difficult role they took on and mastered.
