shareUmm not true African American can grow their natural hair very long. It's when they start using chemicals you know relaxer that slows the hair growth but it still can grow 1 1/2 inches every 6-8 weeks with proper maintenance. My hair is shoulder length my aunts on my mothers side hair is long but fine my aunts on my dads side is long & thick.
