Did she really put that in her text to him? Jesus, how cringey is it to imagine a grown allegedly professional woman actually saying such a thing in an an attempt to be serious and intimidating? Blake might be 37, but she sounds like she has the mind of a 16 year old girl.
Well and not to mention the way it just reads. It makes it sound like Ryan and Taylor exist to do her bidding. As well as admitting she'd have trouble standing on her own without them. Which is fair. She's not a terrible actor and I'm not trying to dis her, but I don't see an Oscar in her future. Her appeal was her looks first. She's smart enough to realize this, which is why she wants to branch out into other areas, like her beverage line and wanting to be a producer. And I can't blame her for wanting to hit producer status, but she went about it all wrong
It's also a really bad metaphor, considering what happened to Daenerys and her dragons, as well as the fact that Taylor Swift did not like hearing herself being compared to a dragon/attack dog.
I'm just saying, that when Daenerys didn't get what she wanted, she'd use her dragons (at least when they were small) as her own personal attack dogs to intimidate people into changing their minds. It seems Blake Lively is doing something similar, and Taylor Swift disliked being dragged into the fight like that, despite being Blake's friend.
You're fine. Happy to chat about anything, but feel no need to explain yourself. I legitimately don't know who Lively is or what is happening in Swift's personal life. Just clicked on this thread because I wanted to see if anyone acknowledged the common misuse of "Khaleesi" as Danny's name, and you did. Just giving props.
Ah, I see. While she was technically a Khaleesi for a while, Daenerys lost her status once Khal Drogo died, and she had to reassert herself as a queen with the whole "Breaker of Chains" campaign. I guess Blake Lively forgot what Dany's real name was and just used her first queen title instead.
There's a major scandal going on in Hollyweird right now involving Blake Lively bullying a guy she worked with on "It Ends With Us" and everyone's talking about it. It makes me sad, because everyone wanted to believe Ryan Reynolds was a cool guy like some of his movie characters, but it turns out, both he and his wife are narcissists and bullies that just hid it really well...until now.
Good point on the multiple titles. To be fair, the Dothraki did call her Khaleesi to her face a lot...
And thanks for sharing. Shame about Reynolds. Been a fan since Waiting... (2005). It seems to be for some people, getting your ass kissed on the reg might go to one's head. There *are* always two sides to every story, at least.
Still probably more creative than Blake is capable on her own. I suspect someone else either wrote it or helped her come up with it. I wouldn't be surprised if it Taylor or Ryan were involved in writing it. If it was Taylor it was probably one of those half drunk giggling girl deals where they think they are being way more cool than they actually are.
I actually believe that. That kind of power struggles between movie director and a big star, which Lively was not, but she has a big star husband, are quite common from what I understand.
