Anyone know??

shareMy guess is the schedule and has a family. Working on a tv show where you are the main character and in most scenes doesn't help either. I do hope his character dies or he does something else though. Too good to be stuck there all the time.
Nothing is as it seems so I wouldn't judge by what you think you see.
I thought the same. He's a good actor so I'm sure he has no problem finding projects. My guess is he probably has a contract with the walking dead requiring his full commitment until series end?
shareI bet it's stressful working on the show so when there's a hiatus or break, he feels it's better to just rest instead of working on other projects.
shareDoing a tv show (especially one like TWD) can be stressing, not to mention he has kids so I guess he likes to take a break to enjoy his family, the money he earns with the show is (probably) enough so he doesn't need to make movies.
Pretty sure once TWD is over in a couple of years he'll go back to the film industry (or find another series)
They may suspect me, but they'll never see me. They may chase me, but they'll never catch me
Doing a TV show is BS, sure it will take up some time, but he isn't in every scene, not even most scenes. He was the main character in Season 1 and 2, but now takes a side seat to some of the other actors and actresses.
They obviously have him signed up in a contract. Also, why would any casting director want him now? He'd have mostly a US following that would suffer if he couldn't fake his accent in the movie. Same went for the Governor character. typecasted without even being typecasted..
The new world's gonna need Rick Grimes... not Andrew Lincoln. And I feel like an a-hole for saying that.

First, the word is "typecast" not "typecasted".
You go film in the hundred degree heat in the summer in Georgia and have to pick ticks off your privates and then tell me how "BS" it is to be in a series.
Since Andrew had a following in England and from films, he would not be typecast. Why suppose he wouldn't be able to do the accent if he were to play an American? He does such a good job now that people are shocked when they find out he is British. Also, are you not aware that there are dozens of Brit actors playing American characters in big budget films already?
Just because he chooses not to work when the show is on hiatus doesn't mean he couldn't get work or won't when the show ends.
You should feel like an a-hole for saying that.
