If these message boards are even close to reality, there must be a huge number of Americans who do nothing except wonder who is gay and who is not. I wonder why that is. I doubt any other country in the western world even cares about such things anymore. Is the Puritan background that causes that obsession? I looked over some of your posts, topkapi, and it seems to me that you are the one obsessed--with scolding all those who dare to discuss actors' sexuality. Are these people indicating they'll stop watching the show if the actor turns out to be gay/lesbian? Are they saying somewhere in their posts that they absolutely HAVE to know ASAP?
No, they probably just typed the question and moved on, leaving the tsk-tskers to stew over the fact that people are merely curious about the people behind the faces they see on TV every day and/or in movies. Oh, the nerve of them!!
