Is she strictly a French Actress?

She speaks english in "Rice Rhapsody" but shes not in it much.

She did a small film that came out earlier this summer in France, called "Jusqu'à toi" (I think it was called "Shoe at your foot" in English for Canada) with Justin Bartha and Billy Boyd. I loved this movie, it was funny, sweet and cute - a mix-up with an American's suitcase being delivered by mistake to a French girl and her falling in love with the contents of his suitcase. But even if "Jusqu'à toi" was kinda confidential, I hope that "Inglourious Basterds" will launch her career in the US - provided she makes the films she wants to and is not Hollywood-ised :)

She didn't speak a word of english until she got the role in IB, even though she said she did during the casting.
She must be a bit better now, but it can't be enough for a hollywood career...unless she wants to keep playing a french woman over and over again.

Her English isn't up to it yet.

Well, good roles are very limited if the only thing you can play are french roles.
Do you know a lot of hollywood movies where a french woman is key to a movie ? All she'll get to play are meaningless little appearances in b movies or maybe blockbusters.
Good roles for women are rare in hollywood as it is, so a good role for a french woman...
