For example; she was smug in her interviews and dismissive towards critics (specifically any male critics); which creates an illusion whether right or wrong of misandry. Then if the character has a bunch of "you go girl" moments and the film has a whole theme of men keeping this super remarkable woman down; the illusion is reinforced. Which makes both the actress and character unlikable. Let us be honest; who many people are fans of Captain Marvel and were blown away by her portrayal by Brie Larson? Not many.
