India's greatest actor; The true King Khan. Hear me out.

It's often stated that Shah Rukh Khan is the greatest actor in India as of right now but don't get me wrong he's amazing but he's not as versatile of an actor. Amir honestly has only done 4-5 crappy movies. If you look at his cinematography list, the last *beep* movie he did was in Mela, back in 2000. Since then Amir has not been in any less than average movie. He hasn't give any weak performance either. Not bashing on Shah Rukh but most of his praised movies are always very emotional movies they don't necessarily make you think. His characters aren't as complex as the ones Amir takes the role as. SRK's strongest performances were in Dilwale Dulhania le jayenge, Swades, Chak De India, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Devdas, Darr and Baazigar. Although these were all great movies and his acting was solid, his performances in the movies weren't consistent. There's also the factor that SRK has done way more performances in the past 2 decades that Amir which should be questioned. If he's done way more work, why has he had less powerhouse performances?

Before Mela:
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Raakh, Andaz Apna Apna, Bollywood Dreams, Ghulam, Earth and Sarfarosh. All incredibly movies and really showed how Amir Khan can act as both complex characters and laughable jokester.

Mela: The worst movie Amir portrayed in and his performance I'm not going to lie is despicable.

After mela: These movies were blockbusters and SRK couldn't have pulled off any of these roles.
Lagaan - I would like to say his sole performance in this movie made up for every bad movie he ever made. Acting as the complex heroic village boy makes you completely forget that his man is one of the richest Indian men outside of the film. Dil Chahta Hai - Completely opposite from his role in Lagaan and shows how talented this man really is. He is now acting a spoiled rich douchebag who only wants one thing out of his life. The movie itself is very complex and he definitely outshine the other 2 leading males. 4 years later...BAM! Rang De Basanti. Many people would agree that this is the greatest Hindi movie ever and who was the most powerful actor in it? Amir Khan. Won't go into much more detail since everyone's hopefully seen it.
Tare Zameen Par. Him and the boy were about equal in performance but he played the role incredibly well and it felt as if he was truly trying to help the boy.

I can't say much about Mumbai Diaries since I haven't seen it yet.
Lastly, 3 idiots. The biggest box office phenomenon in India. This movie is literally known around the world. Why was this movie so incredible? Yes the story was great but Amir complimented it so well. His acting was simply superb. I don't have to go into much detail because again I'm sure everyone has seen it.
Therefore Amir's amazing acting is greatly consistent, his roles seem more adapted to and every movie's ethos get's complimented by his portrayal. As for SRK he is an incredible actor but he doesn't deserve the title King Khan, Amir does.
