So good in Star Trek Discovery

Loving his work as Saru in Discovery. For an actor who’s mostly seen in non-speaking roles or ones where his voice has been re-dubbed, he is quite impressive in a dialogue heavy role like this.

I think he’s done a great job as the first non-human captain in a Star Trek series. Definitely my favourite character in the show.

Good job Doug 👍👍

I always assumed he was British. Maybe it's his dubbed voices or perhaps the assumption that so many eccentric, actorish roles seem to be taken by brits - ah well, live and learn.

I think its the other way around. He's great in EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT Discovery. His talent is being wasted on Star Trek Discovery because of Alex Kurtzman's crap writing. In any other television series, Saru would have been the "break out" character and become as memorable as Spock and Mr. Data were on the earlier Star Trek series. He's not, because the writing is not giving anything good for Doug Jones to work with.
