I think you've hit upon something here, comparing the hatred for these two.
Both are hated by petulant know-it-alls who didn't get their way and are now whining like children in a public temper tantrum.

Petulant know-it-alls and male Mean Girls, and slow learners as well. They abused George Lucas like this during the prequels, and did it result in Lucas knuckling under and making the sort of films they wanted to see? No! And now they're doing the same damn thing to the people at Disney, how do you think that'll turn out for them.
Let's see, Trump is hated by millions or billions, and Johnson is hated by a few dozen mouthy fanboys.
