If you are 41, women in your age group are on their menopause so all hope has gone. They are on the turn, they have become expired, like an steak that has gone off which needs chucking in the bin.
You see those single women, standing in the rain at bus stops. No one will ever approach them, flirt with them ever again. They get a cat, sit by the fireplace, waiting to die. Frankly they smell, are ugly with wrinkles, we should not hide from it, especially if we still look in our 20's.

Back when I was 27 I went on a few dates with a 40 year old. That seemed to be kinda at the edge for me but I was into her.
Dating older women is perfectly logical solution for willing younger men who have a hard time finding women their age. Now that I'm 43, I can't exactly see myself dating a 58 year old woman. Not seriously anyway. With Hugh Jackman, it was a perplexing situation because he probably could have gotten any woman he wanted. It must have been either true love or something else must have been going on.
Always depends on the younger person, but before 30 it has always kind of a whiff to me. Above 30 the persons should be already stable enough usually and thats totally fine.
