Personally I thought it was OK considering the challenges of getting Freddie and Jason to face, with their very different abilities and such.
Well she's not alone... a lot of fans were hoping for something more as well. There were much better scripts in the mix at various points than the one they went with. Poor thing, sorry she hurt your feeling.
