i'm not sure i agree on the voice similarity...i'll have to watch ladykillers again or a couple of their movies back to back....and see. but, i agree with the likeability characteristic. hanks is always likeable no matter what character he plays...same for hurst. they both seem down-to-earth,natural, a kinda everyman quality that most can identify with.

I totally agree. In Remember The Titans, listen to the way he delivers the line "That's a-That's a MA-MA Jooooke." He sounded EXACTLY like Forrest Gump.
