I just saw last episode, and I felt so sad when she died. I already miss her. I hope the haters will now feel that a strong female lead is absolutely needed here. RIP andrea.

shareAgreed. The show will definitely be lacking. Couldn't stand the way they killed Andrea in the season finale (the finale itself sucked). She deserved better. But as Laurie put it in one of the making-of interviews, Andrea will be with Amy now, so she's all good. Just wanted to see more of her in Season 4 :(

Fine acting by Laurie, but the Andrea character sure got derailed by the writers this season.
I was actually shocked when she got killed off. I just finished watching the series (Started the episodes about a week ago) and I thought she was going to be in the show for much longer.
I do slightly agree that the finale wasn't great, I was expecting a big battle or something. If I was the one to write Andrea's death, I would have her escape Woodbury, have her make it to the prison and have her die in battle...not tied to a chair
Im still really pissed of at the writers!! Andrea was bad ass! Sure she has her issues..but what WOMAN doesnt???? She was a perfect mix of feminism & brawns- alot of strong willed, INDEPENDENT....beautiful women relate with her and how 'we' would react to such a scenario.
Where is our strong FEMALE lead now??. And dont even say it..........Michonne........sure shes brawny yes but shes missing a feminine aspect!! (Dont get me wrong-I like her).
Maggie could take on the strong female lead because she started out weak and scared just like Andrea and shes feminine.

I miss Andrea ALREADY :( It wont be the same without her :(.. I just really like Laurie..... especially as Cybil Bennet in Silent Hill (if youve played the game you'll know what I mean..she played her perfectly).

Sorry to spoil the fun but Andrea was one of the weakest characters on the show as the seasons progressed. She ended up sleeping with the Governor, for god's sake... what a sap. I could understand the hookup with Shane but the Gov? It just emphasized what a weak, clinging woman she had devolved into.
Maggie's strong. Michonne is strong. Andrea was NOT strong. I grew to hate her character, she always made the worst decisions possible.
