Bilingual?
Does anyone know if he's fluent in Spanish? Or is he one of those Mexican boys that tries to act white and acts like he doesn't know spanish???
shareIt doesn't matter if Mexico is right next door, a friend of mine was born here but her parents only spoke spanish so she did too. When she started school she learned English as did her parents and they soon all stopped speaking Spanish for the most part. Her parents are still fluent, but she (who is actually in her 40's) said she forgot a lot of her language because she used English so much. She had to basically re-learn Spanish. So it happens, and I know a few Koreans who have also basically forgotten most of their native tongue since moving.
