she is black. Her and Denzel won awards because they are black. If not, there would be backlash, and we would hear about all this sh*t for a few months, and then they will bring it up again next year in the news why they didn't win.

Taraji P Henson is on the most popular network show and she CARRIES it. Her character is brash and in your face and she steals every scene shes in. Empire is a poorly written mess and its not just this season anyone who saw the end of last season saw it coming, BUT that doesnt take away from her amazing acting. I'm happy Viola won the Emmy, but Taraji should have won both of them imo.
I was shocked that Claire Danes did not get nominated though.
