It was Kevin Dunn who complained about how long it took for Owen to unhook it. The professional who they originally hired to do the stunt told them it was too dangerous to do it the way they wanted. So Vince fired him, got one of the guys from WCW to do it, without doing any research. The original guy said he would come in and do the stunt for free if they would do it properly. Vince told him no, then went with the other guy. That ended up leading to Owen's death.
