It's that guilty until proven innocent mentality that i don't like.Even before these accusations have been properly investigated or proven yet his affiliates are dropping him like a sack of potatos.Not saying the guys innocent but he should at least be given the benefit of the doubt until the investigation is done.

shareI never cared for this guy or any of his work, but to think that he's about to lose his reputation due to an "essay" written by an ex-girlfriend is unacceptable to me. She has every right to express herself but to take everything she wrote as gospel even though she never named Hardwick only to see sponsors and media firms exact retribution on him is ludicrous.

My BIL works for a fairly large corporation and they were recently told in a mid-mgt meeting to avoid interacting with new hires and young people (20's-early 30s) whenever possible. (this is true) Apparently the sheer number of harassment complaints coming from young people is making it more difficult for the company to function. The policy is if you get a complaint, you are put on paid administrative leave immediately until it's investigated but even if they find no evidence, the complaint stays on your record permanently. So departments are going short staffed and sometimes without management while the overworked HR dept is trying to investigate a bunch of harassment complaints. It's only going to make it harder for young people to get good jobs.
shareI hate that this happened to Hardwick. I don't believe it, at least not everything. Sure I don't personally know the guy but it just doesn't fit. He seems like a good dude, not someone who would want or even think of doing the things she mentioned in her "essay".
I'm a woman and I'm SO embarrassed that so many women are doing this. It scares me for the future. Thinking about taking my boyfriend and running for the hills, maybe we could avoid this little movement that is clearly becoming about women taking over and destroying men.
It's not all the fault of women..It's the new extreme left that calls everyone to task without question and makes sweeping judgements of all that oppose their view points. All men are guilty, all whites are guilty, all straights are guilty. There's no context to any of it. It has diluted true assault, rape, racism, sexism by making everyone so guilty..And the media and social media is guilty as well for jumping to conclusions of presuming guilty before proven innocent and flaming the fire.
If we want to change things we need to keep some common sense and demand proof and not be accepting of all these rush to judgements about people. It's like a mass hysteria..So we need to insist on common sense and not get hysterical ourselves.
Hopefully these idiots will burn themselves out.
I won't be watching any shows or networks that have dropped Chris Hardwick without proof especially given his loyalty to the whole AMC/Walking Dead brand.
He deserves better.
