Anyone familiar with Texas Guinan?
She was a famous actress and manager of speakeasy clubs in the early 20th century. I am watching a movie right now named Night After Night (1932) where Mae West is playing her. She was also played by Phyllis Diller in Splendor in the Grass (1961) and by Barbara Nichols in The George Raft Story (1961). Also Whoopie Goldberg’s character on Star Trek: TNG was named after her.
