Kate Hudson got a free pass as "not quite as good as her mother" actress but Mamie Gummer doesn't?

Probably because Kate Hudson is beautiful. If you're not as great an actress as your famous mother, you have to have something else to offer. Looks, humor...something. Mamie doesn't.

shareWell, she isn't her mother, so to think that she'll be "just as great" is extremely unrealistic. She is her own person with her own acting chops. To compare the two is so stupid. I enjoy her and like any actor, will continue to grow. Period...
