Is it true he is a jerk and REALLY serious?

I heard that too, but you can't believe what you hear. I just think he doesn't do the party scene... He could be shy! There are actors who are shy, and its hard for them to socialize! Who knows!

is that why he's doing so few things?

This question or argument comes from time to time at some IMDb boards and I will re-post here my post from another thread.

Btw, the whole E! show was very b.s. towards Topher. Perhaps maybe one or more on the show (only they know) may think (for some reason unknown to us) he is a jerk, however, for the most part is all b.s and it seem that Topher did got along with at least some of them and is still in touch.

They did hang together a bit at first, however, over time it was more like Ashton, Danny and Wilmer while Topher wasn't that much into going out and prefer going home after the Friday's taping of the show and being very private about his life...and that is known by interviews from those years nothing new.

Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher on 7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on May 31, 2008. BOTH are smiling, actually Ashton seem to have a tender smile and Topher is chatting happily (as I posted in another thread) AND also other pictures from the T7S years.

"How old were you when you started working in Hollywood?
I was 18 or 19 when I started on That '70s Show.

It must have been overwhelming when you first got to LA?
The show was incredibly overwhelming! Just because I'd never acted before — that was my first audition. Someone had seen me in a high school play and said, "Do you want to come try out for this show?" But, yeah, fame — no matter what age you are is difficult to deal with. We were lucky because we were the same age and we all had each other. It was an interesting time.

Going through that rise to fame together?
Oh yeah, there's that whole other element when you haven't been famous before so we learnt everything together. I hope we all get to work together again. I just want to go back in time — there were some really great times working on that show.

Are you still in touch?
Absolutely. Wilmer (Valderrama) was going to come to the premiere in New York but couldn't because he was working. I'm still very close to Laura Prepon. And Ashton (Kutcher)'s probably the funniest person I've ever met. Working with him on a daily basis, I could tell you a bunch of stories. But actually I can't because they're a bunch of dirty stories [Laughs]. At least once a year, over that seven years, he'd have me in tears crying. I miss those guys a lot. They really are family."

A view from the city...mostly.

I was an extra in the film, Young Americans, and he was such a jokester with everyone. He was always talking it up with Anna and everyone else in the cast and he was really nice to all the extras (from what I saw). But he does come off a bit serious, but I think it had everything to do with Young Americams since he wrote the story and everything.

I met him three times after some living filming of T7S and he was always nice to the fans.
