Rudy Giuliani’s defamation damages trial began Monday with opening statements as a jury considers how much the former Donald Trump attorney must pay two Georgia election workers.

During opening statements Monday, an attorney for Freeman and Moss leaned on Giuliani’s own words and social media posts as he argued to the jury that the former Trump attorney had a devastating impact on their lives.

Giuliani has already been found liable for defamation and he owes Freeman and Moss over $230,000 after failing to respond to parts of their lawsuit. The mother and daughter are now seeking tens of millions of dollars, claiming that they have suffered emotional and reputational harm as well as having their safety put in danger after Giuliani singled them out when he made false claims of ballot tampering in Georgia.

The Ef around find out keeps coming back.

Guilty and $148M in damages.

That's quite a message to Rudy.

During that impromptu press conference, or at another not long after, Rudy Ghouliana also claimed he had no regrets and he was right in what he said about the two defamed election workers. This was AFTER a judgement was rendered against Rudy.

Even so, the former New York City mayor continued to repeat his baseless allegations about the women in comments to reporters outside the Washington DC courthouse this week.

Giuliani’s lawyer acknowledged that his client was wrong but insisted that Giuliani was not fully responsible for the vitriol the women faced. The defense sought to largely pin the blame on a rightwing website that published the surveillance video of the two women counting ballots.
Eerily similar to DJT going after E. Jean Carroll after she won her defamation case, so you can only assume that Rudy will be sued AGAIN. These guys just do NOT learn!!
