What an interesting documentary about European horror. Mark clearly loves his horror movies and it's hard not to get swept up into his enthusiasm. I like a lot of the giallo films and it was great to see him interview Dario Argento and Mario Bava's grandson.

I love the two horror movie documentaries he has done, he shows a very deep knowledge on the subject matter and also includes lesser known classics in his repertoire. It's obvious that he must have had a major influence in the general darkness and black humour involved in the excellent League Of Gentlemen. I really hope he does more horror docs in the future.
My only criticism is that I wished Gatiss didn't have so much disdain for 80's horror. There really are some excellent films from that decade and it is personally my favourite era for horror. Hopefully, one day, he will look beyond John Carpenter's Halloween, and do an 80's documentary that focuses on the horror titles of this decade. It would be an injustice not to.
