I can't believe this board

I actually came here to mention the fact that I think Zach might be Richard Dreyfuss' ginger son. But wow, the hate that is on here!

It's a pretty well-known fact that Mel Gibson is a d*ck, and has been for a while now. How he still has fans is beyond me. So Zach refused to work with him and they booted him, good for you Zach!

As far as the hypocrite thing goes, I doubt Zach had the pull to do anything about Mike Tyson. Yes he could have turned the part down, but the Mike Tyson cameo may not have been known when he signed. Also sometimes you have to go along to get along, and then, once you're in, then you can start to change things. What's the alternative, to say "hey, I worked with Mike Tyson so now I have to accept to work with every piece of sh*t Hollywood can spit out" No! If you finally find yourself in a position to do something, then you do it, regardless of what you did before.

Oh and to the people who call him a bearded fatty, congratulations. You have the mental capacity of a twelve-year old, and you will never progress beyond that.

Seriously, where's the love?

I enjoy Mel Gibson films but if a cameo apperance is written out its not going to stop me from seeing this movie.

On top of that a startup actor even if hes in the biggest comedy of last year does not have the pull to get someone like Gibson kicked out of a movie. If Gibson was pulled it was the executive producers and the production company that didnt want the bad press.

Mel Gibson is a good actor in my estimation wether hes an a hole or not hes a good actor. He will continue to work in Hollywood even if only because of the fact that 64 percent of the population believes that email about the movie The Man Without a Face was about Mel and how God got him through it.

87 percent of facts are made up on the spot. The more you know :)

Not so unusual though. Go to any funny man's imdb page and you'll find this kind of thing. People just haven't woken up to the fact that nothing and nobody is universally funny...or scary. And you can't fight personal taste, that's just stupid (yet people do it all the time). But imagine if we all had the same taste. The planet would be boring and poor as a result. So why all the fighting?

Because people are stupid, no matter how many fancy words they can spell.

He's one of the funniest guys on screen. Frankly I really don't care about his politics.

the amount of idiots on imdb never ceases to amaze me...so what your saying is that its ok for people to hate mel gibson for his actions, but its not right for people to hate on zach for being a hypocrite... actually he is worse then a hypocrite, now that he has made it he wants to pretend he has morals, or maybe he just wants to suck up to all those jews in hollywood

You tarnish Mel Gibson's image more than he ever could.

Think to yourself, f#ck stick, would Mel, whose busy trying to make a comeback in Hollywood, really want an army of anti-Semitic fans posting on IMDb speaking out on his behalf? I'd imagine that is the last thing he'd want to encourage right now.

Zach is NOT one of the funniest men on screen. And he didn't MAKE it in holywood. Most of his films fail and while I do think some of his stuff is funny, the fact is there that he hasn't done anything amazing on film and most likely never will. He is not going to be an A list actor with a huge following and making movies for years to come. He isn't that amazing. Why do people keep implying that he is?

reply

umm if his imdb actors page is something you can judge a person's hollywood success by, hes been wildly successful, and his recent movies have been increasing in quality from him playing small parts to now getting larger film roles. the hangover made a ton of money, he has a sequel coming out that looks like its going to make even more money, and he is even supposedly to be a part of a billion dollar movie coming out sometime after 2012. so even if you dont think hes a funny actor, the money he attracts is a pretty good indicator of the fact that most people are going to disagree with you.

He has had a lot of roles. I don't see where any of them has been blockbuster movies that has been amazingly successful. He makes mediocre comedy movies. A few have been pretty good at the box office which still does not show that he is the big draw. I am not hating on him, just saying I don't see him being a big icon in Hollywood.
