Reader Blind: It is ironic that this handsome deceased actor’s (Chad Everett) best known role was on a popular medical related TV show ("Medical Center") as he visited the emergency room a number of times during his heyday. The cause was his sex fetish which consisted of binding sensitive parts of his anatomy with cords, rubber bands, rope etc and temporarily cutting off the blood supply for prolonged sexual stimulation. He was also an alcoholic which may have contributed to his not noticing the numbness and pain. (After the series Medical Center ended, Everett became frustrated when no movie roles were forthcoming and television roles were not working out. A long-time social drinker, he began drinking heavily. He was consuming a quart of vodka a day by the time he quit drinking in 1986. "I was a functional alcoholic.")
