Top of the Pops or one of those early morning kids shows in the 80's (Saturday Superstore), Everything Counts and People Are People are the first of their songs I remember.
Going out to clubs in the early 90’s Depeche Mode was a staple of the music scene there.

Same. It was the release of Violator. I was late to the game but caught up with the older stuff quickly after that.
Violator is the album that really broke Depeche Mode to major superstardom which they definitely deserved.
