Is it me or is he looking a bit weathered lately?

Its hard to believe he's only 38 or so. On the most recent eps of Grey's Anatomy, he looks a bit aged. Not in a George Clooney kind of way either. Not trying to sound catty. Does anyone know what he's going through?

I know he had skin cancer a few years ago. I really hope that it didn't come back!!

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that a while ago. I hope not either. Hopefully he's just a chain smoker or just ages poorly. Nothing too serious.

he's 37 but could pass for 45....kinda worried about him...

My cousin works on Private Practice and has friends on Grey's Anatomy, she told me that they are having a big problem with him being super coked out all the time on the set. Doesn't do a body good.

I just logged on here to ask that very question. He is only 38, but looks so much older. The guy that plays Alex Karev is 40 and he looks 10 years younger than that.

I actually think he looks good for his age. Plus, isn't Dane's character supposed to be around the same age as Patrick Dempsey's who is 7 years him older in real life.
