Why is she not filming movies anymore? :(

I was really really hoping to her in more movies after HOUSE OF WAX! I love her as the lead. =) She was much better than Michael Chad Murray (Sorry i didnt bother to check did i get his name right). I seriously thought I be seeing more of her. But seems like I'm wrong.

Why isnt she filming more movies? Seems like she only act in tv series nowadays.

Sorry I didnt watch Girl Next Door because I just thought it's a movie more for guys? Captivity seemed good when it came out that time, but hey seriously I think my country doesnt show Captivity! My Sassy Girl, sorry I am someone who likes to stick to Asian original. I might watch if it's on cable tv. ^^

I just thought she will get bigger/dramatic roles with future movies, dont know is it happening soon? Btw, i live in Singapore. =) My local theatres show ALOT of the movies in IMDB, that's why I like to check them here. =)

Girl next door is, as a movie, simply stupid. If you want to insult men, yeah then its more for guys. But its really just stupid. Its about the amazing fact that - hold your breath and sit down and prepare for impact - porn actors are human beings too. Thank you Captain Obvious, I had so no idea. Next thing you'll tell me is that women are human beings, that black people are human beings, and that bankers and politicans are human ... ok, those actually arent, in many cases.

What a stupid post. Seriously. If you thought the movie was stupid, that's one thing. But to hold it out as if it were fact is beyond moronic. I thought TGND was a very good movie and I'm VERY critical of films. But more importantly, your comment is what strikes me as stupid. It could be levied on the overwhleming majority of movies that have ever been made. To say that all TGND was about was that "porn actors are human beings too" and how "obvious" that is, is about as stupid and trivial as saying that American Pie was obviously only about showing that teenage guys are horny.

Whats your problem, anyway ? Yeah I'm thinking my opinion is fairly objective. Arent you trying to have an objective opinion, too, or what now ?

And actually American Pie was exactly about that, and thats the reason why the first half of that movie is so extremely dull. It only really gets fun after the girls get something to say, too.

Not so much about "The Girls Next Door", though. It never gets any fun. It always stays in the boring and Hollywood stereotype celebration zone that really has nothing to tell but "omg porn actors are people too".

My problem is with anyone who thinks their opinion is fact. Your "opinion" by definition can not be "objective". Both "The Girl Next Door" and "American Pie" have the same rating on IMDB with over 50,000 votes for each title. You may like one and not the other but the majority of the audience seems to consider them about the same level of quality/enjoyment.

But when you make statements like "Girl next door is, as a movie, simply stupid. If you want to insult men, yeah then its more for guys. But its really just stupid", it's hard not to pounce on your posting because you seem to assume that all movies are made to appease only you and that somehow, you deeming it "stupid" makes it so.

Reading the rest of your post about how obvious the movie is makes your post even more stupid because, as I stated, virtually any movie could be dismissed in that way. Probably half the movies ever made could be described as:

"Its about the amazing fact that - hold your breath and sit down and prepare for impact - love is a powerful emotion."

And yet I've no doubt that there are plenty of movies that you've enjoyed that would fall into that exact category.

I hate the movie

And that's very much your prerogative.

Sorry, but your attack is pretty pointless.

You are plain unable to state any argument that has the slightest chance to actually change my opionion about the movie, as you arent talking about the movie itself at all.

All you can offer are statistic and technical arguments of very generic nature.

Ok, so you believe IMDB is some superior authority that can be trusted without question and somehow owns the property of objectivity. Well, thats probably nice for you. Still I obviously dont share this notion, so I'm not impressed.

And probably you think if someone states his opinion they have to state "in my opinion" and whatnot all the time, even if its implied that it is of course just their own opinion - what else, anyway ? Or something like that. Meh, whatever.
