Grammy for best comedy album "Sincerely"
Guess he's not cancelled anymore.
shareTerrific news! I hope the album eviserated his enemies in the #MeToo "movement" that sought his cancellation.
shareGood, when can we see his movie?
shareI'm guessing it's the same as the live video, which I rated 8*: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12087624/
In the long anticipated and controversial comeback of Louis CK, he doesn't hold back when discussing topics like religion, god, pedophilia, traveling Europe, and of course his sexual misconduct accusations in his brand new special.
Louis CK's ability to put out an album and for it to win a Grammy is further proof "cancel culture" is a myth

"While people certainly do get 'canceled,' the term has been weaponized against the #MeToo movement to make it look like some kind of crusade against innocent men," says Chloe Stillwell. "Others have pointed out in the backlash to last night’s win for C.K. that a good deal of the comics who spoke out in horror at Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at last week’s Academy Awards have been mostly silent on the situation with Louis C.K. — suggesting not just racism, but also that people don’t believe women in these matters, even when C.K. has admitted to what happened. Ultimately, it’s about accountability, and the Recording Academy last night proved that it has no interest in being part of any machine that holds men who abuse their power to hurt people accountable."
Louis CK's Grammy win sends the message that "nobody cares," says one of his sexual harassment victims

“Nobody cares. That’s the message this sends. It really does. That’s the truth," says Julia Wolov, in an interview with the Variety. Wolov adds that CK's Grammy is a sign of the #MeToo movement's ineffectiveness.
I watched this yesterday and LOVED how he dealt with his honestly bizarre jerk-off-in-front of women misadventures. But what he did isn't remotely comparable to the shit that assholes like Harvey Weinstein and R Kelly did. I am glad he's back, and the support he has received from legends like Dave Chapelle and Michael Che are the icing on the cake. Louis CK joins the ranks of JK Rowling: they are immune to being cancelled.
