I heard from a sound guy that worked with him that he never talked to the crew like he was too good for them. Guess he felt special enough to make “special compacts” with women.

The Superior Imperious Old White Man.

And I'M white.

He disgusts me.

Tom's one of the last of the old guard. I'm sure he's impossible to work with.

Chalk another one up for Trump's terrible swift sword.

Seems these women magically remember the sexual misconduct after a decade or so. Like the other accusers of other powerful men. I mean, why now? Why not sooner just as the #metoo was going on?

"she said she's speaking out now cause she's concerned the network is not investigating and making the necessary culture changes"

The fuck is that suppose to mean? Sounds like she only did it cause he's white, in a powerful position, and decided that the network isn't culturally changing into the liberal utopia they demanded so she just accuses him or something similar to that end.

(Due process) has been suspended in this country, perhaps even permanently. The way we've been going the past 10 years its no wonder. You could see it coming. And it's in the courts. Look what happened with Cosby. They changed the limitation statutes to snag him. Then without substantiation they crucified him. (Due process) is a (process) that takes time and the end result is not guaranteed. American don't like (takes time). They want (it) now and two competing sides want it (their) way.

I'm sick at heart for Cosby. He was never truly given his due process. Now he's been expelled from The Academy on false charges. What happens if those women are proven to have lied? When does he get back his reputation and his accolades?

reply

Yes, pro, it's heartbreaking & alarming at the same time.

Yes, it is. Just take a look at the case of Jian Ghomeshi here in Canada. His livelihood, career, reputation, and dignity were trashed due to three women who colluded to "bring him down". This according to the court transcripts. Ghomeshi opted for a bench trial and Judge William Horkins found him innocent of the charges due in large part to the three women's own behaviour in get this, going back time and time again. Sound like most of the Cosby accusers? The judge found these three women including actress Lucy "Goosey" DeCoutere had perjured themselves as Ghomeshi had emails, texts and photographs of the three of them spending happy times together when they were claiming abuse and being scared of him. Ghomeshi's attorney Marie Heinen caught all of them on the stand lying their asses off, which is why the judge found what he did. However, despite the verdict and the rebuke for the three accusers the hashtag went out #believethewomen and actresses on the Twitterverse all aligned themselves with the three perjurers rather than calling them out as liars. Actress Ellen Page said she stood with them. I've hated her ever since. The Crown here has failed to file perjury charges against any of them for breaking the law. It seems if you're a woman and you lie you don't face any backlash. If you're a guy and you're proven innocent it won't matter. You're guilty anyway because you're a guy. And to let you know I'm a woman. It's disgusting how this has all become so unfair. These women these days don't want equal status, they want exceptional status. That in and of itself is not only blatant misandry, but disgusting.

reply

Exactly. If they don't file either charges or file a grievance with their workplace AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT/OFFENSE they don't get to do it years later. As a woman I'm sick and tired of other women believing they don't have to be accountable for their actions. They do. If any of these accusations are found to be false, these women should be charged for filing a false report. That will stop it.
