Why did she leave Spin City when Michael J Fox did? Just got written out?

Following Michael J. Fox's retirement, several cast members decided to leave the show, James, Janelle & Nikki.

A lot of the cast members leaving the show probably had to do with them filming the show in Los Angeles after Fox left the show instead of filming in New York.

Charlie Sheen's contract stipulated that production switched coasts. All sets had to be rebuilt.

Connie was still on the show, the first season with Charlie. Perhaps the producers decided to focus on Heather.
