Matt Bomer for Superhero

For a long time, people have been fancasting Matt for a superhero role Superman, Batman, Gambit, Dr Strange, Green Lantern, Nightwing etc etc. I like Superheroes and what they stand for. I was a huge fan of Superman as a child and also loved Spiderman, Batman etc. The number of superheroes since has multiplied, like seriously!

The Superhero craze is getting a bit old with all these franchise movies popping up, but it'll be a shame if Matt, born with a superhero jaw and laser eyes doesn't get to embody one. It's no wonder that everytime a new superhero movie is talked about, Matt is always at the forefront of the casting talk.

Matt has said a few times that he'd like to play the Nightwing. I think he'd be brilliant as one. It'll be like playing Neal Caffrey again lol.

What superhero would you like to see Matt play?

Personally, I'd have LOVED to see him play the Superman, only because I personally love that Superhero and hate what's become of him in the current version. Matt would've made him amazing again...but alas:( Then again, as has been discussed here before, TNH probably would'nt have happened, and neither TLT or WC, so it's all good I guess!

I'd like to see him play the Green Lantern though. Gambit was another role suitable for Matt but it's gone to Channing.

Matt has earned a name as a character/method actor. It'll be interesting to see him dab a little into the purely commercial world of superheroes!

I second this!

He should actually fight for the 'Green Lantern' role - he's perfect for it!

A Marvel character, definitely.Guardians of the Galaxy 3,maybe?He could play a villain too.

I would love for a new superhero to be created. with that in mind, I'm going to start typing. :)

I was always a batman fan, but there'e been more than enough of those. has anyone else ever done nightwing?

I think I'm with you on this one, Virgo. I'd love a new superhero, all the best one's have been done. Don't know if Keanu plans to redo Constantine, but something in that vein would be interesting for Matt. I love the idea of a fallen angel.

Like you idea Virgo. A new superhero keeping Matt in mind would be awesome!

I would love for him to play a superhero or rather a super villain. Something like Loki, kind of a one off role, where he can make his mark and move on after a couple movies. He's too good of an actor to get locked into a superhero role like the Chrises or Robert Downey etc, sequel after sequel.

I imagine him in a spandex suit and I see the most aesthetically beautiful superhero to ever have existed. *Sigh*..

Seriously. It will also be a shame if he is not cast as a Prince or as a male romantic lead in a mainstream movie. Everything about that face (and the talent that comes with it) screams that he is superhero / prince / male romantic lead material yet Hollywood isn't ready. Half this year is gone and Matt will be 40 next year. That's not to say he will be too old for any of these roles soon but the clock is ticking and how long do we have to wait? His talent and and beauty will be wasted if he isn't cast as any of these.

James Marsden played a prince at 34 in Enchanted, there are several actors close to/over 40 currently playing superheroes (Robert Downey Jr, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch) and Matt looking the way he does will never really be too old for male romantic lead. He had a whole lot of supporters who wanted him as Christian Grey so that says something.

Now where is that project of his that we're all dying to see? I hope we at least hear about something new before this year is over.

I'm still mad excited to see him in TLT, Anything and Monty (done with AHS though I hope he doesn't waste himself there again) but he deserves bigger roles that everyone will see.

I think the next movie I have coming out in theaters is The Magnificent Seven in September. And then I finished two independent films in a row. One is called Walking Out, and one is called Anything. Those are both in post-production at the moment. And I'm writing a project; that's really what is going on for me right now.

Maybe that next big role will be the one that Matt's writing, but knowing how he operates he will probably cast someone else as the star.
