shareIts pretty clear all involved with that should be arrested and tried. Estimated of dead Iraqis range from 400thousand to 1.1 million. unfortunately most western countries and especially the usa would never actually hold their politicians and elite accountable for war crimes
shareThat might be true, but then, don't ALL wars have high casualties estimated in the thousands, and some of them may not have had one party responsible like that, but what is different about this one, Iraq war? Because it was started based on WMD lies?

The massively inept steps during the war such as disbanding the Iraqi civil service and army which led to chaos, death and increase in violence.
The - selling oil in Euros like Yemen - wasn't a lie though and that was the main justification.
shareI also ask because, in a massive modern atmosphere of court of public opinion today, many people in Britain not only actively believe that Tony Blair is a war criminal who should be tried and imprisoned (possibly even for the remainder of his life), but have actively marched and protested with such requests on UK's public and well known streets and even outside the "No 10 Downing Street" Government HeadQuarters building accusing Tony Blair of all deadly sins.
shareBy the way, and I know this is a little off-topic, but do you kind of view Tony Blair in light of all of this as the modern "Dr Strangelove" (based of course on the great masterpiece by Stanley Kubrick, released in 1964) sans nuclear weapons but with lots of political and other paranoia and keen on making a wrong and deadly decision PURELY for self-interests and not, like he claims, safety of the American people (as wrong and brutal and rights violating a dictator as Saddam Hussein WAS though in his OWN right - or WRONG - for that matter)?
Also, was the FIRST Iraq, commonly known as "The Gulf War", in the early 1990s, 1991, ALSO illegal, that was waged by George Bush SENIOR? (See also the movie "Three Kings" (1999) about it, although very good, albeit its a little too fictional and action-entertainment oriented.)
