His accent in Tokyo Drift

I know I just got done watching it and his voice was so southern it bugged the crap out of me. How can you be an actor and not loose an accent as thick as that.

Collin Farrell choses his roles quite well, no one "makes him act american"

he chooses those roles on his own.

Lucas has said many times before he can't master other accents that well so he choses roles that allow him to use his own accent.

Wait, so is that really the way he talks? Poor guy.

I guess I'm not understanding how speaking in one's real accent is a sad thing. There are people in the US who speak like that. Some are smart, some not so much - just like those who speak any other accent / dialect. Why not represent? Are you saying that there shouldn't be movies made about Southerners? It would be boring if we all talked like newscasters.

Not gonna lie, I usually HATE southern accents, but his was HOTTTT.

His was hot? LMFAO!!! Usually I`m all for diversity, but an accent such as his should be banned! He sounds like his favourite movie is "Forrest Gump", and his favourite actor is Leo in "What`s eating Gilbert Grape". How can you listen to this guy without throwing up in your mouth every 10sec.?

I agree that his accent is BAD. I usually think Southern accents are cute, but Jesus, his is awful.
