You act like they are going to assimilate into American culture. Maybe a very small percentage of them will but most of them will never do that. They will instead, and I know personally, expect us to assimilate into theirs. They are the most arrogant people I have ever met. And if you are not Muslim, they look down on you. In their own countries, where they are the majority, it's with outright contempt, almost a murderous intensity. Here, where they are a small minority, they are more quiet about it. shareThe Haitian migrants don't qualify for asylum, as they're not being persecuted for race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership of a particular social group. I'm not exactly sure what status the Afghanis have, but its probably some kind of refugee status since it was our war.

I'm not sure what Biden quote you're referring to, but yeah, I do think Bidens comments on immigration policy during the election gave a lot of false hope to people who wanted to come here.
As for people living in this country illegally, I'd like to see them all deported, except for the ones who were brought here as children.
