Nobody remembers when gas was this high in TRUMP’s Spring 2019?

Everyone is bitching about Joe Biden making gas prices skyrocket, but no one is ready to blame Donald Trump for the gas prices being at the exact same price in spring of 2019. I was filling up for $3.08 in Montana and not a single person then or now blamed Trump. But now it’s Biden’s fault? Gotta love conservative hypocrosy: “it’s only bad if liberals do it!”

reply

but dementia Joe purposely shut down an oil pipeline to artificially inflate the prices. I was paying around $1.89 in January, its now around $2.89. he is manipulating the market to help Big Oil, and no one in Congress seems to care because they are all in bed with Big Oil...

reply

Nice job completely ignoring the argument. I’m surprised you wouldn’t like Dementia Joe, considering it appears you have dementia yourself.

reply

the prices went up but then the prices went down, thanks to Trump....

reply

Thanks to a pandemic which lead to prices plummeting to encourage people to buy. But if you wanna blame Trump for that feel free.

reply

prices went down because there was no demand, as the Dr Fauci told us to shelter in place for a year.

dementia Joe shut down a oil pipeline on day 1 which sent prices skyrocketing, he manipulated the market to raise prices for big oil.

"prices plummeting to encourage people to buy."

this sentence makes no sense...did u take economics in 8th grade?

You do realize the pipeline Biden cancelled wasn't even 10% completed right? I don't know how that led to a massive shift in gas prices but I'm sure conservative pundits can spin that to be Biden's fault. I'm sure the fact that gas prices have been steadily rising since businesses started opening up was also due to Biden and not prices returning to their pre-pandemic levels.

In March 2012, Obama endorsed the building of the southern segment (Gulf Coast Extension or Phase III) that begins in Cushing, Oklahoma. The President said in Cushing, Oklahoma, on March 22, "Today, I'm directing my administration to cut through the red tape, break through the bureaucratic hurdles, and make this project a priority, to go ahead and get it done."

On January 20, 2021, United States President Joe Biden revoked the permit for the pipeline on his first day in office.

"By revoking the Keystone pipeline permit, Biden is destroying 11,000 jobs and roughly $2 billion in wages," the post says. "Democrats couldn’t even get through Day 1 without killing jobs for middle class Americans."

Why did dementia Joe shut down a America pipeline but approve a Russian pipeline?

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/biden-comes-under-fire-congress-after-waiving-sanctions-russian-gas-n1267975

The Biden administration has decided to waive sanctions against the company overseeing the construction of Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany, despite bipartisan opposition in Congress and appeals from Eastern European governments.

I thought Uncle Joe was going to be tough on Russia? Why does he support Russian jobs over American jobs?

reply

Get outta here with your pesky facts on how economics works. Libs think its all magic and fairy dust

reply

I know, I dont know why I waste my time. biden supporters are oblivious to the facts. ug...

reply

So, you just linked to an article about the job losses (terrible, but the project never should have happened in the first place IMO), of course that has nothing to do with gas prices and the whole point of the discussion.

reply

The Obama/Biden administration approved and funded the project for nearly 7 years and then decided to cancel it. Trump started it again which fueled job growth during a economic recovery phase. People worked on it for 4 years, not only did the people working on it make money but also the people in supporting industries, ie food, hotel, roads, supermarkets, etc. There were thousands of other people that also profited off the pipeline. In a instance all those people lost their jobs and livelihoods, this includes families and children. Not one democrat seems to care that all these people were instantly unemployed. You and I both know for a fact if Trump did this there would be mass outrage and protests. But since its a democrat, again no one cares.

The point is hypocrisy, Biden had no problem with the pipeline for almost 8 years and now he is against, why? He is just trying to spite Trump because he restarted it on his Day 1.

Why does Biden approve of the Russian pipeline but not ours? Again, hypocrisy. I am sure someone is getting kickbacks for allowing Putin to restart the project.

As you can see with this chart, prices took a significant jump in Jan 2021. The highest price under Trump for 4 years was $2.97, its now $3.15. Did shutting down a major oil pipeline cause this spike? I think it does because this pipeline would have significantly reduced the cost to transport oil to market. The big question is, why would Biden do this when his motto is Build Back Better? So far things are not any better.

Oh boo hoo, whining that nobody cares about the conservative man’s feelings. If this same shit happened under Trump’s “legacy”, you know damn well none of you incels would be complaining.

"but no one is ready to blame Donald Trump for the gas prices being at the exact same price in spring of 2019."

When liberals make a claim, and then use it to make a point, it's always best to fact-check the actual claim.

Here's a listing of U.S. gas prices by month, since 1993:

https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epm0_pte_nus_dpg&f=m

Look at the years of the Trump administration. Early 2017 to early 2021. Not once does the price of a gallon of gas go above $3.00.

And now, just six months in the Biden Administration, we've broken the $3.00 mark twice in the last two months. And the trend is not looking good.

Bro, is this a joke? If so, I applaud the effort. I like how you say gas was never this high, but then totally ignore the fact that gas was LITERALLY this high according to YOUR OWN CHART in 2019!!! 2.40 vs 2.39? Wow, such a variance! Thanks for proving my trumptard hypocrisy point.

reply

"I like how you say gas was never this high"

Huh? When did I say gas was never this high? Do you have a reading disabilty?

"but then totally ignore the fact that gas was LITERALLY this high according to YOUR OWN CHART in 2019!!! 2.40 vs 2.39?"

What are you babbling about? Here are the numbers for 2019:

2019 2.338 2.393 2.594 2.881 2.946 2.804 2.823 2.707 2.681 2.724 2.693 2.645

Here are the numbers for six months of Biden's presidency:

2021 2.420 2.587 2.898 2.948 3.076 3.157

Where the hell are you getting 2.40 vs 2.39?

Did someone claim that this did not happen or did you just build this awesome strawman on your own?

reply

It's quite a strawman.

Fun fact about straws: under Bidinflation, straws cost about $10 now.

reply

Unlike you incels, I actually worked during 2019. Look at KinkyInk’s chart to verify gas prices were just one cent off during Trump’s “legacy”.

reply

Tell us more about how Trump's high gas prices were a temporary blip, while your Fuhrer's gas prices are permanent.

Not everyone has a KKK discount card for cheap gas like you do, nazi boy.

reply

Where does the nazi thing come from? Name me one neo nazi who is Biden supporter. One. Can you count that high?

reply

You act as if I'd know any neo nazis. Lol, sorry beta, I'm not a Biden supporter. That's your job, look in your KKK phonebook under your bed.

reply

You love calling people incels. I'm thinking that's a projection cause you couldn't get laid in a morgue

reply

"your projecting" wow that is the lamest trick in the book lol

reply

"Look at KinkyInk’s chart to verify gas prices were just one cent off during Trump’s “legacy”."

You're obviously too stupid to read that chart.

reply

We were energy independent by the end of Trumps term, now we are not energy independent and gas is up 1 dollar per gallon. Biden shut the pipeline down and fired all of those workers during a pandemic. Nice distortion of the facts

reply

Nevermind when gas was $4.40 during Bush's presidency!

Republicans are just bad for the economy. We do better under Democrats. - Donald Trump.
