Her quote: 'I hate to be seen as this pretty face..'
Yea, another drawback with anther priviledged actor. Naturally, it's better to NOT be seen as such.

shareBeing seen as just a pretty face is only a problem for people with no talent. No one thought of Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor as "pretty faces" because they could actually act.
shareExactly. I hate when actresses say silly things like that. She must be BFF's with Paltrow.
shareI think you are taking the quote out of context. She meant to say that many actresses viewed as pretty and perfect in their looks, tend to be stigmatized has having a lot of problems, or are hiding something. And yes, Mischa has def had her share of problems, but at the time of the quote she wasn't tabloid material.

Except she still says stuff like that so I respectfully disagree.
shareQuote please? Loo, I know she definitely comes across big headed and whatnot, and she has said some pretty cringeworthy things, but personally I think many of her quotes are taken out of context. I think she's matured quite a bit since her OC days, but she definitely goes on the defense and it comes across all wrong.

I don't save her interviews so at the moment I couldn't give you an exact quote, but I can remember being turned off by several of her interviews in the last few years, where she has said things that completely piss me off. I used to forgive her when she said stuff that pissed me off when she was on The OC because she was still a kid essentially, but I have no tolerance for it now. And considering some of these were video interviews, I do not think I took what she said out of context. I think she's probably a decent person, but I do think she comes off as a bit of a brat, and I haven't seen that much maturity in her or else she wouldn't still be fussing about The OC. I also noticed she tends to contradict herself a lot, or say something doesn't bother her when clearly it does. For example, I think it is obvious she cares what people think about her, yet she tries to act like she doesn't. The more she defends herself, the more it makes me think she is lying to herself.
If she wants to be remembered as a hardworking actress who keeps her life private and is a good role model, then she has got to earn that reputation. Telling people that she is all those things, is only going to make it seem like she is trying too hard to sell an image to the public that isn't really true. She can take a lesson from great, professional actors like Daniel Day Lewis, Hugh Jackman, and Tom Hanks on how to conduct yourself in the business. Nobody ever has anything bad to say about them, even the paparazzi, and there is a reason for that. I use them as examples because they are regarded as some of the most humble, hardworking, generous actors in Hollywood and have all-around great reputations without having to pimp their own agendas.
Anyone who buys an 8 bedroom house with 11 bathrooms that has 3 guesthouses and one of them is 3,000 square feet when only one person lives there... cares about what other people think.
I use to watch The O.C. and I liked her on the show but now... she annoys me. She's a cute girl but if that's all you got going for you then you really need to put down the mirror and get a clue.
Lots of people thought Audrey couldn't. And no, Liz is one of the most overrated actors (for looks and acting) I've ever seen. Definitely just got popular for her sex appeal.
Mischa can act but like any actor, bad scripts won't make that obvious.
I bet you say that to all the Nordic ice goddesses. -Tora Olafsdotter
