This film is hilarious. It goes places Hollywood is afraid to go to. It attacks whatever remains of Victorian sensibilities--or any sensibilities, for that matter--not as an idealistic advocate, but as a pure artist using his god-given skills of satire and wit. When the comedy requires depictions of male genitalia, so be it! What's funnier than copulation (something Shakespeare used as well)? This guy is so far ahead of his time, he will never get an Oscar!
I wonder if that scene will remain intact if this movie is ever shown on a basic cable movie channel (I don't think it will be)?
The last shot of the long line of elephants was the topper!
STFU. You and your kind are the only ones worried about "wokeness!" Cable movie companies have always had standards. Aren't movie ratings all about wokeness, deciding what can and can't be shown? You cons just need a boogeyman to rail against, usually a simple word or phrase will do, like liberal! or civil rights! (BTW, I'm sure PREMIUM movie channels will have no problem airing this movie).
Gosh Sally, change your panties, because it appears that comment has made you rage wet. If you really don't think woke ideals haven't affected content, you aren't being genuine. They are editing movies and removing episodes of series for the sillies things, even from shows that are deliberately offensive, just to appeal to the woke mob. And, in case you haven't noticed, a LOT of people are sick of it and pushing back. Thats why you see so many comments about it.
You are merging "wokeness" with changes in social mores. It's not something that ought to worry you, unless you're a stuck-in-the mud diehard conservative, and need boogeymen to blame for the change that threatens you.
Society always changes, and I'm actually moderate, but most liberals consider moderates to be right wing it seems. Frankly, it's very clear that the left has pushed too hard the last decade, and I think your about to see things tip back to the conservative side very soon. Thats kind of the story throughout history, it teeters back and forth.
