When you think about it what she achieved in her career is amazing. She started doing really crappy movies like Psycho Beach Party, failed TV shows like Cruel Intentions 2, and maybe a couple of guest acting roles in TV. Catch me if you can was supposed to be her big break but she was out of work for a year in her 30s. Then Adams did Junebug which when she was about to quit acting. A small indie film which nobody really saw but her performance was so critically acclaimed she landed her first Oscar nomination. After that people thought she was a "one hit wonder" until she proved everybody wrong with enchanted. Enchanted proved she could be a leading lady finally having Adams break in as a successful Hollywood actress. This lead to Adams having a career as a lead actress in rom-coms while still maintaining her acclaim with Oscar nominations thought her career, leading her to have a reputation of a versatile actress. This year Adams achieved her sixth Oscar nomination at the age of 44. Compare to Glenn getting her 6th Oscar nomination at the age of 64 for Albert Nobbs in 2012, what Adams have is an achievement. She is the second LIVING actress with the most nominations and no wins (Deborah Kerr and Thelma Ritter are dead) after Glenn close with her 7 nominations.share
