Really Underrated Director

Looking at his C.V of Work especially the films he's done with Daniel Day Lewis. He's a director that definitely should be talked about more.

His best films are definitely his Irish based films. The Field (with a awesome Richard Harris performance), My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father and The Boxer are all great films. He also wrote one of my favourite's Into The West.

His films after that get a bit hit and miss. In America is great especially as it's based on his real life. The American Remake of Brothers, with Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal is pretty good. The Secret Scripture with Rooney Mara and Eric Bana is meh. But Get Rich or Die Tryin' and Dream House are bad.

But overall more hits and misses really.
