I didn't mind him in Meet The Parents, but 13 years later, I see he still has no range at all. Why does he play the same smug idiot in every movie? Doesn't he get bored of it? Does he never evolve?

shareexactly, very limited range. at least luke branched out a little with his role in middle men. maybe owen branched out in behind enemy lines though.

Theres a hundred more things that can make a movie suck before the actors "range" comes into it - like the story mainly , then the sets , costumes , props ,lighting
.. and wether its about superheroes or not
