shareHarvey will do his damndest to destroy the company now, that's for damn sure. So if Bob Weinstein was behind this, he won't gain much by it, except to see Harvey suffer.
I actually suspect some other enemy of his is behind this, maybe providing victims to come forward and the New Yorker to publish the takedown. I suspect the ladies at least wouldn't have done so, if someone somewhere wasn't giving them a bit of practical help such as the assistance of good lawyers.
It was the NY Times, and they have money and lawyers.

The topic of sexual harrasment has recieved more focus in the past year or so.
It is a timely news story that has broader social interest and support at the present moment.
(I don't know why that sentence sounds more convoluted than it has to...oh well.)

And now I'm hearing rumors that "He was no longer making money". Which would mean that nobody had a motive to tolerate or protect him.
Frankly, I suspect that the timing of the unprofitability and the downfall are more than coincidence, but I'll probably never know what really went on. That's a bit frustrating.
I think it's just SJW outrage culture can now destroy liberals too.
