shareI am!! Super excited!! Cannot wait for fall, when Maura will be back on my TV every week!!
Fans of Maura, unite!
When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
I love that this new character was written with her in mind even though the show's creator thought she was unavailable to play it. Really alludes to the fact of how strongly her acting ability and character have affected her long time friends who are in the business. Very cool to have a circle of friends like that!
shareHer hair is off the hook...totally changed her persona.
shareI don't mind that she has a short hair cut, I just think that the style needs work!
Michael Jackson's Motown 25 'Billie Jean'; best performance EVER.
I like the new hairstyle and I liked the grey tips, but she's dyed them since. And there's not much she can do with it right now, as it's just started growing back. There's pics from a month earlier, when it had just started growing in.
I think it works for her, but I wouldn't be surprised if she lets it grow.
I don't know how to tell you this, but there's a Chinese family in our bathroom.
Does anyone think that she did this show just as a favor for her friend? From what I've heard and seen, she didn't seem to be excited at the TCA's and she joined the cast after finding out it was written for her. I think if her friend wasn't attached to the project, she would have not done it. I think she probably would have wanted a role that was more of an ensemble like Parenthood or like her previous shows. I really find it surprising that she jumped onto a tv show less than a year after finding out she had cancer. TV shows are ALOT of work and I just would have thought she would have taken a longer break. It's great she's back though.
Im am really hoping and praying that this show does well, but at the end of the day, it is just another legal drama.
Yeah I have to agree with you. The TCA pics I saw, she looks bored, though she's displayed the same facial expression in an interview with Morrow. I do think they have great chemistry though, which came across in a few of their interviews. I have a bad feeling this show will come and go quickly though I really hope I'm wrong. It's running against TWO other legal dramas, LOLA, which by most accounts is considered to have the stronger cast and The Defenders, which no one is talking about. I think The Defenders will get knocked out first and hopefully this show will survive, but I have my doubts.
As for the break, she did a play while undergoing cancer treatments and dealing with the death of her father. She said she wasn't looking for a show, but she said that when she did pre-interviews for Parenthood as well.
