As you might guess from the username, I'm a longtime fan of Osment's. It was The Sixth Sense that was the film that grabbed my attention and it's still the one that stays with me as his outstanding performance. How many performances can really evoke that kind of genuine emotion (and this from a nine-year-old child)? For the same reasons, I find his role in Pay It Forward to be very good, even if the movie itself was disappointing, mostly due to the way it ended.
I was a bit surprised to see how many people responded with A.I., but I think I understand why, with the difficulty of the role and how convincingly Osment pulled it off.
I'm glad he's still actively acting. I just wish it was in films that were a bit more accessible.
