I could be wrong, but I feel like child actors have much more protection these days. After all the stories and scandals of the 20th century and early 21st century, it’d make sense to put measures in place.

Child actors are likely never alone anymore with a stranger from Hollywood, a parent or guardian is always with them. Their workload is hopefully better managed so they’re not overwhelmed, and they still have a social life. This is all purely based on the lack of stories with child actors in the last 20 years, so I’m taking that as a good sign.

I hope child singers get the same support since, like adult singers, they’re under more stress to put out songs on a consistent basis than actors are with appearing in movies. Hopefully Justin Bieber is the time we’ll hear about a child singer who fell to drugs and alcohol because of the the stress of fame.
